The role

At Neptune, every product we create tells a story-of craftsmanship, purpose, and the quiet beauty of considered design. Behind the curtain of our collections sits a team of people making sure everything arrives just as it should: in the right place, at the right time, in just the right amount.

We're looking for a Merchandising Admin Assistant to join our busy Merchandising team, on a fixed term contract of up to 12 months, to cover a period of maternity leave. You'll provide administrative support across the department, helping to maintain accurate reporting, product and intake information, while working closely with internal teams and external suppliers to support stock availability and the smooth running of our operations.

You'll be passionate about retail, comfortable working with data, and enjoy being part of a fast-paced, friendly team where your work has a real impact. Whether you have previous experience in a similar role or are looking to take your first step into Merchandising, we'll give you the support and opportunity to learn and develop.

Day-to-day you will:

  • Assist with daily and weekly sales and stock reporting, including data entry, report preparation and ad hoc analysis
  • Create and maintain purchase orders, ensuring product and delivery information is accurate and supports effective warehouse planning
  • Manage appliance, direct delivery and spare parts orders through supplier portals, ensuring orders are placed accurately and on time
  • Work closely with suppliers and freight partners to monitor deliveries, resolve availability issues and communicate any potential impact on customer orders
  • Work with our Finance team to resolve supplier invoice queries and support timely supplier payments
  • Maintain accurate product information across internal systems, including repricing and product status changes
  • Support the wider Merchandising team with store allocation packs, departmental administration and ad hoc queries
  • Manage merchandising inboxes and stakeholder queries, building strong relationships across Buying, Finance, Customer Service, Warehouse and our UK and Far East suppliers

About you

You'll be organised, detail-focused and comfortable working with numbers and data. You'll have good Excel skills, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Previous experience in merchandising, retail, commercial or administrative roles would be beneficial, but isn't essential. What's most important is that you're proactive, enthusiastic and keen to learn, with a positive "can do" attitude and a genuine interest in developing your career within Merchandising.

We're looking for someone who enjoys working collaboratively, takes pride in getting things right and is always willing to get stuck in and support the wider team. You'll be part of a collaborative, supportive team where your work matters. It's an opportunity to build your knowledge of Merchandising, develop your commercial understanding and gain valuable experience across various departments.
