A Christmas tree with decorations, chosen as one
If you have been searching for a pre-decorated Christmas tree, our Christmas tree sets answer the same wish: a finished, well-planned tree without days spent choosing every piece. The difference is that we leave the hanging to you. Each set brings together a tree with warm white LEDs already woven through its branches, a rattan tree skirt sized to fit it, and a full collection of decorations chosen to sit well together on that tree. The decisions are made. The pleasure of dressing it is still yours.
Every set follows one theme, so the choice comes down to character rather than quantity. The woodland set leans natural, with metal leaves, ceramic pinecones and stars, and hand-painted papier-mâché baubles. The traditional set is classic Christmas in deep red, with round and drop glass baubles, fluted glass bells, beaded pieces and papier-mâché. Blue Noel takes a cooler, wintry turn in blue glass, ceramic and bronze-toned leaves, while the nostalgic set gathers felt characters, brass bells, ceramic and papier-mâché.
Each theme is made on a 6ft or a 7ft tree. If you are weighing up the height, our 6ft Christmas trees and 7ft Christmas trees pages explain which ceilings each one suits, and our Christmas trees are there for anyone who would rather start with the tree alone.
Made to come out again, year after year
When a Christmas tree comes with its decorations included, the decorations deserve as much care as the tree. Much of what goes into each one is the same work we sell piece by piece across our Christmas tree decorations and baubles, and a good deal of it is finished by hand. Depending on the set, that means glass baubles that are mouthblown, so each carries the slight ripple of the glass it was shaped from; papier-mâché baubles hand-crafted by skilled artisans and then painted by hand, so no two are quite alike; felt characters stitched by hand; and beaded decorations worked bead by bead.
The tree skirt is our Silverton, handwoven from natural rattan in a size made for the tree, so it hides the stand and gives the base a finish a folded throw never quite manages. The tree itself is shaped on the Nordmann Fir and arrives in sections, with the lights joining as each section goes on.
The point of all this is longevity. These are pieces to wrap carefully in January and look forward to unwrapping next December, so the set you start with becomes the collection you keep adding to. It is the quiet advantage over a pre-decorated Christmas tree, where the decorations are often fixed to the branches, and the tree looks the same every year.
