Compton’s a simple square shape, but with soft, rounded edges that make it easy on the eye. The focus is on the wicker weave, so it’ll add lots of texture to your outdoor space (or garden room). It’s made using a material that mimics willow and rattan, in natural tones that are easy to live with and complement stone or timber. These modular sections can be combined to make all kinds of sofa shapes and sizes. Seat and back cushions included. Comprises of one left arm, right arm, corner and three mid sections with coffee table.

The materials

Compton’smade with a woven resin fibre we call ‘all-weather wicker’ – it’s got very much the same look as natural rattan, but it’s happy being left outside and will make your life much easier (as well as having a longer lifespan). To make the table more practical – and stop crumbs gathering in the weave – it’s topped with toughened glass that’s easy to wipe clean.

The seat cushions

All our garden furniture cushions are made from natural-coloured, weather-resistant fabric, so you needn’t bring them inside if there’s a quick summer shower. They’re not completely weatherproof, though, so don’t leave them out all year long or in pouring rain. They’re filled with foam, which is soft but keeps its shape well, and the covers are removable, so they’re easy to clean.

How it feels

Compton’sone of our smaller ranges, with quite a high seat, but it’s wide enough to be roomy. Although the frame’s firm and the cushions are supportive, you’ll still gently sink into it.

Design details

All the seats on the pieces in our Compton collection lift up to reveal a storage space underneath. It’s the ideal spot to tidy away practical garden things like hoses and watering cans that you want close at hand but out of sight.
