The colour of flax flowers (the plant that linen comes from) inspired our seasonal shade for spring and summer 2019. Taking their hazy blue tone, we’ve added grey to make this paint shade more muted, give it more depth, and make it even easier for you to use at home. Pair it with Salt: the clean and crisp to Flax Blue’s soft and subtle.

How to use - primer

Great paintwork starts with a great primer. Ours works as a base coat or wood primer with all our paints - matt emulsion and eggshell. Use it to prep surfaces and it’ll make the end result much better, with a smooth, long lasting finish.

  • Clean brushes with warm water and soap.  
  • When painting a space where humidity and temperatures fluctuate, drying times may be longer.  
  • We recommend purchasing as much paint as you need in one go so it’s from the same batch and keep some spare for touch-ups.  
  • Colours may vary slightly with each pot – once open, stir thoroughly to ensure the paint is well mixed.  
  • Recycle the metal tin and plastic handle separately at home.

Smaller parcel deliveries:

  • Standard delivery fee: £6.95 for orders under £150 (€30 for orders under €250 in Ireland).
  • Next working day delivery: £9.95, available on parcel deliveries to the UK only. Order before 2pm on a working day, no minimum spend.
  • Free standard delivery: on orders over £150 (€250 in Ireland).

Standard parcel deliveries to mainland UK for in-stock items will arrive within 5 days via our approved couriers.

Larger furniture deliveries:

  • Delivered through our Neptune Home Delivery Service, with charges based on the required service level. See our full delivery policy for details.
  • Made-to-order or unavailable items will be dispatched upon arrival at our warehouse, or we’ll contact you to arrange delivery.
